I am a contracted Network Engineer for a large company, and I travel frequently. I had just finished up at one of our sites on Friday, and I wasn't supposed to need to be at the next site until Tuesday. I thought that Sallisaw would be a good place to rest, and be out long before checkout time on Monday to leisurely make my way to OKC for the next job. I booked two nights at this motel, and I checked in Sunday afternoon. The place wasn't terribly clean, but the young lady behind the counter was friendly enough. The facility had made a few half-hearted attempts at making the place ADA accessible, and the room had a musty smell, but as a contractor I have stayed in worse. I dropped off my luggage went out for an early dinner. On the way back, I was called by work and the employer had decided that I needed to be in OKC on Monday. So, I checked out of America's Best Value Inn of Sallisaw, and the girl behind the counter said that I would receive a phone call from the owner/manager regarding what might be done about a possible refund. I said I'd be grateful, and happy for a refund of only half, because I understand about hotel bookings. I did not hear from them Sunday or Monday, and so I called on Tuesday and I was brusquely informed "We don't do the refunds." As a contractor, I have stayed in rooms that rented by the hour, and I have stayed in some world class hotels, and this place ranks among the lowest regard for customers I have ever seen. I'd advise finding another place to stay, and possibly another town.
The only reason I gave 3 stars was the beds. The place was very dirty and the coffee pot had mold in it. They don't have coffee in the office. There was hair in the shower. Not a good price.
I was helping my mother check in. The rooms were in decent order, but there were some problems with the heater. The staff was friendly and helpful.
This place was so disgusting! Doesn't even deserve a star only have to pick it in order for me to post a review. Do not recommend to anyone. Rooms had bed bugs EVERYWHERE and the owner had the nerve to say we brought them from out of state. Umm no sorry upgrade ur disgusting rooms!!! Had to argue with them to give me a refund back. Never staying here again. Y'all want a nice place to stay go to executive inn in Roland OK only like 10 more mintues away if that.
Smoke detector laying on the counter not hooked up. Not super clean. No elevator for second floor. Not many outlets. No USB hookups. Good price $50 for 2 queen beds. Check in clerk SUPER nice. Convenience store right next door within walking distance.
